What To Know Before Coming In
If you are like the vast majority of the people who come in and see us for a consultation you’ve been stressed out dealing with your current financial situation. The overwhelming burden of debt causes you to lose sleep, not have an appetite, impacts your relationship with friends and family and finds a way to creep into every aspect of your life. Like this guy to the right, you’re tired of carrying that debt and stress. Our goal is to end that stress.
We’ve completed thousands and thousands of consultations. We know the reason you are in the position you are currently in isn’t because you chose to be here. Instead, something has happened in life that has brought you to this point. Maybe it was a divorce, a medical emergency, the loss of a job or any number of events that start what has been the downward spiral. It’s time to look forward in life instead of worrying about things that have happened in the past. This consultation can be the beginning of your fresh financial start.
What To Expect When You Come In
This consultation will be really laid back. We think we’re pretty laid back attorneys.
The goal of the consultation is meant to be an information gathering session. With that information we hope to be able to answer as many questions as possible and give you as many options as possible. The whole process will take about an hour.
The way we get the necessary information from you is we will go through a series of questions. Your answers to those questions will help us give you different options and talk to you about the benefits and drawbacks of each of those options. Once we know more about your situation we can also talk to you about the costs associated with filing a bankruptcy. Because approximately 90% of our practice is dedicated to bankruptcy we are able to keep our prices really competitive. Doing thousands of bankruptcies has allowed us to develop procedures to make this process as efficient as possible.
How You Can Help Yourself
As we mentioned above, we are going to go through and ask you a series of questions that will give us a pretty good idea about your situation. The more accurate you are in your answers the more accurate we can be in your options and in answering your questions. Our goal is to get through the portion of the consultation where we ask you questions as quickly as possible. The quicker we get through our questions the more time we can spend talking to you about your options and answer your questions. With that said, write down answers to the questions below and bring the answers with you to the consultation. If you don’t know the exact answers, that’s okay…give us your best estimate. If you want, you could always pull a free credit report at AnnualCreditReport.com. You certainly don’t have to do that for this consultation though.
